I'll always love the Dormy, and this one was great! The top floor is fitted with an onsen, laundry, massage chairs, ice cream, and a reading room. The manga selection was interesting to look through, and this floor was pretty popular in the evening! Which is busy to some, but was fun to experience. Love this hotel, and the location is fantastic, less than a block away from the historical quarter and a straight 10 minute walk from the station. Great price point as well.

Excellent breakfast buffet offering local dishes with fresh ingredients. It was seriously the highlight of our trip! So healthy too.The hot spring bath is clean and well maintained. It was nice to easily do laundry while sitting in a massage chair with a library full of the most popular Manga.Very kind and attentive staff.

location was great. staff was very nice. having an onsen in the hotel was great - but i felt like i wasn't supposed to be in there with tattoo covering.

the beds and pillows are the firm Japanese standard. It wasn't clear to us at booking but tattoos are not allowed in the onsen - it even says covered tattoos are not allowed. To book this place (pay for the amenity) and then not go in the hot tubs because you feel like you are breaking the rules, is a disappointment. There are mixed reviews that the staff provides stickers, and then the clear messaging on papers and doors is that tattoos, no matter the covering, are not allowed.

Checking in luggage early was a breeze and staff was very nice and courteous. Also, they put our luggage in the room w/o us asking---bonus! Nice facility and location. Love the evening ramen service.

The number of guests was huge---might have been sold out. It's not any fault of Dormy Inn but with so many guests, it was a little tricky at breakfast time.

Lovely Onsen. Free noodles after 9:30pm. Ce cream available. Slippers, umbrellas, nice slippers. Great location! Very homey country feel management. Nice chain

The breakfast buffet was better than most.The Onsen was THE best! Included a Sauna. Loved joining Japanese women there. I was the only non Japanese.

Bring your translator app!It would be nice if they were more multilingual friendly.

The location was good in terms of visiting the Bikan quarters but a bit of a walk from the station. The bathrooms were old but sufficient.

Everything was wonderful — the location was very close to the historic district and canal. They had so many special touches like free popsicles, massage chairs, and the onsen.

The bed in our room was old and worn out and because of this it was very uncomfortable.Manager moved us to another room, but we had to pay an additional cost for this. It was no fault of ours that the bed was old and worn out so my question to you is why did we have to pay an additional cost for a comfortable bed?

Great location, brief easy walk on pedestrian path from Kurashiki station, and the old town area is just across the street.

Rooms very roomy, great location and very nice and clean onsen.

The shelf in the closet was a little dusty. But nothing major.

Friendly staff that speak English at front desk. English translation on signs. Complimentary accessories, pyjamas, popsicles, ramen. Great breakfast. Great location near train station and the old district. Washing machines on site easy to use (for small fee).

Carpet was dirty in the elevators. Shower next to toilet layout (entering shower via the room with toilet).

So far our favorite stay in this trip! We are backpackers and it felt quite luxurious to us, even for one night. We took advantage of everything the hotel had to offer: juice, spa, ramen, massage chairs! The duvet was super comfy and we loved all of the products (in room and spa). Staff was extremely friendly and the hotel was spotless. Would certainly stay at another Dormy Inn, especially this one!

Considering everything else was amazing, I think they could improve the pillows.

Nice location. Right next to Bikan historical area. Night ramen service is very heart warming. Beautiful indoor and outdoor onsen.

Excellent location very clean and offers ice cream and other treats and has an onsen. They offer tattoo patches if you need any.
